26 Videos New Jason Castro Fans Shouldn't Miss

There's so many good ones buried in the hundreds of videos out there. Here's a few I'd hate to see new fans miss. None of the videos are mine.  Double click on the videos to view on Youtube and to see additional videos from the owners. These aren't in any particular order.

Jason has music available on itunes .

#1 Closer
Sometimes an artist is just "in the zone" and I feel that from Jason here. It doesn't have that many views, so maybe it's just me....Seems to me he has many of his "moments" in Boston and Philadelphia.

#2 Changing Colors, Texas State Fair

#3 Learning to Fly-  Boston - May, 2010

#4 Brooke White's Change
This is Brooke with just a hint of Jason singing background vocals, but I love the song and would love to see them do a mixed set.

#5 Love Uncompromised
Could he? Would he? In a mall?
Yes.  And very passionately in spite of the florescent lights.

#6 It's All Right
This concert was the first real glimpse fans got of what Jason's sound would be post-Idol.This song hasn't been released (yet?). Jason has introduced this one as "a song about grace." Some other unreleased songs you could search out are Wait (different from Wait for a Miracle), Shine your Light, So Fast, Matter of Time and Tell Me So. Be sure to check out the rest of this series of videos.

#7 Hallelujah at State Theatre in Modesto, CA
Beautiful performance with an "awwww shucks" moment at the end.

#8 Jason Castro and Caitlin Crosby perform You Can Always Come Home at Joe's Pub New York January, 2010
Terrific version of a great song.

#9 Somewhere Over the Rainbow- Idol tour Fresno, CA July, 2008
Talk about being in-the-moment. The joy in this video is contagious.

#10 Hallelujah (again) - Manila. March, 2010.
Jason was very warmly welcomed in the Philippines.

#11 Let's Just Fall in Love Again -Norway. June, 2010.
Jason was one of the performers at Norway's VG Lista Top 20 Concert.

#12 The Date Night Videos
Every Tuesday during the American Idol Tour Jason would do what he called Date Night. Way back in 2008, pre-Twitter, not everyone was keeping in personal touch with their fans. Jason was. I'm not sure he invented the idea but he's the only one I know of who utilized it so consistently. Check out all of his Date Nights here: Date Nights

#13 Traveling Through- Studio Version
Jason performed this song during Dolly Parton week on Idol. I've always loved the studio version.

#14 I Am Second
Jason shares his Christian testimony in this video that was published online as part of the I Am Second campaign in the Dallas area in December 2008.  http://www.iamsecond.com/

#15 Learning to Fly
Jason sang this as his last song on his spring 2010 tour. This was the last night of the tour and his brother, his wife, and his bassists wife surprised him by joining him onstage. It was a fun performance.

#16 Badfish- Couch
This is apparently from his college days and showed up online during his Idol stint.

#17 TMZ
It may be a sadistic streak of mine, but I enjoyed these misnamed TMZ stalkings of Jason. Could he be any cuter?
June, 2008

Idol pass Still Good for Ass

August, 2009

Never Been Stoned

#18 Crazy- Billboard's Mashup Mondays

Gorgeous Ray LaMontagne-inspired performance of Gnarls Barkley's Crazy that Jason did for Billboard.

#19 You Can Always Come Home, Jason and Serena Ryder in Napa Valley. April, 2010
They would. They could. In a cave.

#20 Glory in the Highest Lake Pointe Church in Dallas December 2009
Beautiful cover of Chris Tomlin's song.

#21 Fix You at Traffic 911 Benefit Concert in Plano, TX September, 2011
Maybe I was just ready for something new from Jason..... No, this is a really heartfelt cover of Coldplay's Fix You.

#22 Give Me Jesus Pleasanton. CA. September, 2011
Lovely.

#23 Sweet Medicine (partial). House of Blues, New Orleans. May, 2010
'Cause when Jason dares to drop some inhibitions he's even better.

#24 Background.  Watermark Church in Dallas, TX March, 2012
I'm not familiar with much contemporary Christian music and this was no exception, but I love this cover of LeCrae's Background.

#25 Shine Your Light. June, 2012 YEC Arlington, TX Song starts at :58.

#26 This one's for the girls. It's my blog. I can do what I want. :)
